Kit Description and Technical Information BestŪ Butyl 878 Butyl rubber gloves provides resistance to acids, bases, ethers, and more Unsupported butyl rubber glove, injection molded - offering excellent resistance to esters, ketone, gas and water vapor, BestŪ Butyl gloves are flexible yet durable. Butyl rubber provides superior resistance to highly corrosive acids and is excellent for handling ketones and esters. This synthetic rubber also provides the highest permeation resistance to gases and water vapors of any protective material used to make gloves. It does not offer the physical strength of natural rubber. We use only the finest quality butyl rubber in the injection molding process of our Best Butyl gloves. Butyl rubber provides good chemical resistance to bases, alcohols, ammines and amides, glycol ethers, nitocompounds and aldehydes, but does not perform well in halogen compounds, aliphatic hydrocarbons or aromatic hydrocarbons.
