The Monadnock PR-24X Expandable baton is a two stage positive lock baton with side handle fastened to a 1 and 5/16 inch diameter aluminum frame which has a black anodized finish. The expanding shaft is positively locked into position ensuring that the baton will not inadvertently close.

Fewer strikes also mean added safety for the officer. The end cap utilizes a bore guide that centers the end shaft over the retention spring, reducing the retention-spring breakage that often occurs in non-Monadnock end-cap designs.
