Fraser-Volpe pioneered the development of active image
stabilization in direct-view optical products. Our products have
set the standard for the highest fidelity images in the most
rugged field environments---for over 35 years. With our newest
accessory, the STEDI-EYE CAM, our binoculars can also be used as
a long range CCD camera with video output for recording and remote viewing. This innovative solution is particularly
valuable for military and law enforcement users with changing missions who need both direct view and remote
operations at different times.
Using our highly acclaimed gyroscopic optical stabilization, combined with 14x magnification, far objects can be
seen clearly, without jitter. In field testing it was often possible to read license plates beyond 450 meters under normal light conditions. With the STEDI-EYE CAM, it is possible to view the object on a monitor without being exposed; or, to record the output with a separate video recorder, using standard video formats.

The STEDI-EYE CAM installs as an accessory to our STEDI-EYE binocular by replacing either eyepiece.
The operator can continue viewing through the other ocular channel while recording the scene using
the STEDI-EYE CAM. It can be purchased in conjunction with the binocular or separately.
